About

Hi, I’m Andrew and I’m curious about a lot of things. As an old friend once said, I like to think of myself as a ‘collector of experiences’. Because of this wide-ranging curiosity, I’ve never been able to settle on a topic or an audience to build “a proper website” which has kept me from making one until today.

This website is written by me and for me. I believe that writing is one of my best tools for learning and am interested to see how making that process public affects the quality of my notetaking.

Others may find these pages interesting and maybe even useful (I’ve always enjoyed the voyeurism of reading an effectively anonymous writer’s private thoughts). I’m partly inspired by the digital garden and personal note/wiki sites of other writers like Maggie Appleton and Andy Matuschak.

Topics I expect to explore on this website include:

  • Cooking. Especially Korean, Indian, and vegetable-focused content dishes (though not exclusively vegetarian).
  • IT. My professional work as I build up my cybersecurity and management abilities. Also web-design and maintaining a personal server as hobbies.
  • Crafting. Knitting, sewing, leatherwork, woodwork, and craft as an anti-capitalist, community-building, and self-actualizing practice.
  • Relationships. Non-monogamy, LGBTQ identity, and kink.
  • Hiking and backpacking.
  • General notes and ideas.
